NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE, OR, HOW NOT TO START A COMMUNEHosts Jim and Bobbi Jean Bell welcomed author JEFF RICHARDS to talk about his new memoir, NOTHING TO LEFT TO LOSE, OR, HOW NOT TO START A COMMUNE.  Here's more about the book:In pursuit of a meaningful life, Jeff Richards and his friend Rick Sager, decide to start a commune out in the Rocky Mountains. It doesn't go as planned. Instead of the self-sufficient ranch they envision, they can only afford a crumbling crash pad in Denver; half their friends who agreed to join them (including most of the women) decide to move to Boulder instead; romantic entanglements between group members cause disarray; drug-addicted drifters steal their record collections; and though Rick and Jeff fall in love with every girl that crosses their paths, they rarely fall in love back. Through it all, they learn you don't always accomplish what you set out to do, but you can still take pride in the attempt.
Follow this journey of exploration and a search for meaning with NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE, OR, HOW NOT TO START A COMMUNE.

A HEART RACING JOURNEY  - COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE!
Hosts Jim and Bobbi Jean Bell welcomed KEVIN WOLF on their 100th episode, TRAILRIDGE: A GUY HOGAN MYSTERY, and now he's back with his newest title, THE BOOTHEEL. About The Story:
"All fourteen-year-old Tyler ever wanted was to be a cowhand. Virgil Hutt, The Bootheel’s owner, brought the orphan boy to the ranch and raised him like a son. Then Hutt sent for the outlaw Case Spence, a grim-faced gunman like the men in the boy’s dime novels. Together, Tyler and the gunman follow a treasure map into Old Mexico. When their grand adventure turns deadly, Tyler’s last shreds of innocence tear away and Spencer finds that his redemption lies not in his dark past, but in protecting the young man’s future."Kevin shares his many insights into the writer's world including his expereinces at author events, suggestions for ways readers can support their favorite authors, the many benefits of belonging to a writers' group, and why Westerns continue to be relevant today.Hosts - Jim and Bobbi Jean Bell Opening and Closing Music - Hot Texas courtesy of Alex Dormont and the Hot Texas Swing Band Sponsored by Blue Cottage Agency  Clicks By Madison  and OutWest Shop Shop ALL Rendezvous With A Writer book titles HERE Aired March 20, 2025
